Barbie on the Newsstands Again!

 

The new Barbie movie has definitely been making waves. While many people raved about the recent  film, a lot of people hated it. But that didn't stop the movie from making Barbie a household name again. 

Barbie: The Unofficial Story

Tonight at Walmart I spotted this publication: Barbie—The Unofficial Story. 


This publication features an overview of Barbie and her clothes, her entertainment empire, and a look at the doll as a social icon that inspires little girls. Boy, how times have changed! It wasn't that long ago that radical feminists were telling us how awful Barbie was for little girls! 

People Magazine Special Barbie Issue

Recently, People Magazine dedicated a special issue to Barbie doll. The special issue featured a “true-life” history of Barbie doll; exclusive interviews with Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling and more scoop from the movie, as well as a look at some of Barbie’s iconic fashions.



Whether you loved it or hated it, the new Barbie Movie has definitely put Barbie doll in the spotlight again! I wonder if the word's most poular fashion doll will appear on newsstands again anytime soon?

Barbie Scores Cover of People Yearbook for 2023

 ~ Many media outlets have been doing their year-in-review articles to mark the turnover of another year, and People Magazine is no exception ~ Barbie on Cover of People Yearbook “Barbie” star Margot Robbie joined singer Beyoncé and Taylor Swift on the cover of People Magazine’s 2023 Yearbook featuring top moments from the past year. Since “Barbie also sings in the film, that’s three female singer on the cover of People for those who are counting.  The magazine took a look at “The Plastic Fantastic World of Barbie” as one of the big stories of 2023.  Greta Gerwig's  “Barbie” movie starring  Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling  was a huge hit in 2023 in spite of mixed reviews. The comedy landed five nominations for Oscar Awards including sound, original songs for its three submissions from Billie Eilish ('What I Was Made For?
