Fashion Dolls 101

~ Comparing the new 3” Disney Princess Toddler dolls to Liddle Kiddles from 1965. ~   In my recent article about the new 3” mini Disney Princess Toddler dolls , I compared them to Liddle Kiddles from the 1960s. While I mentioned the Disney princesses were significantly larger, I decided a photo comparison was in order. On the left is Shirley Strawberry Cola Kiddle and on the right is Disney Princess Anna. Both are redheads with big blue eyes, and their heads are of a similar size, which is what reminded me of the Kiddles. But there the similarities end.  Shirley has fiber hair while Anna has plastic hair. Anna is roughly 1 1/2 times as tall as Shirley Kiddle and her dress is plastic whereas Shirley’s strawberry costume is made of fabric. Liddle Kiddles were first produced by  Mattel  in 1965  The little Disney Toddler princesses were released with a box date of  2024.  Both are cute as can be. Which do you prefer?   The Baby Yoday Squismallow  plush toy from Disney is absolutely adorable. From his big, dancing eyes to his sweet smile to his cute long, green ears to his oh-so-squishable, huggable body, this plush toy figure oozes cuteness.  Part of the Disney Squishmallows collection, Baby Yoda joins three other cute Star Wars character figures. While I am no fan of Disney's socialist policies; their anti-Christian, anti-white, anti-straight employee training; and their subtle (sometimes not-so-subtle) leftist political plot lines, there's just no getting around the fact this Baby Yoda plush toy is adorable. NOTE: The Baby Yoda Squishmallow was a gift. I no longer buy Disney, but I can still appreciate some of their products. Related Articles: My Valentine Bear

  1994 Davy Crockett doll by Mattel In December of 1954, Disney aired the first of five episodes of their Davy Crockett miniseries on ABC starring Fess Parker as Crockett and Buddy Ebsen as his friend George Russel. That first episode was "Davy Crockett, Indian Fighter" and it gave birth to "The Ballad of Davy Crockett" and an obsession with coon skin caps. Forty years later, Mattel produced a Davy Crockett doll to commemorate the 40th Anniversary of the Davy Crockett television series in 1994. Plantation Belles Doll Club December meeting & Christmas party - Nashville Doll Collecting Examiner Belle Meade Plantation Belles Doll Club December Meeting The Belle Meade Plantation Belles Doll Club held their annual December meeting and Christmas party on December 2, 2010. Every year the Nashville club holds a Christmas party for their December meeting, so the tables were decorated with holiday dolls including Barbie dolls and Disney dolls.
