Fashion Dolls 101

Fun with dolls for the 4th of July Weekend  Happy 4th of July weekend from the Moxie Teenz, Liv, and Jackie Evancho dolls. The dolls have gotten all dressed up for the 4th of July weekend, and they look darling or as we say, “dolling.”  Wearing mix and match from the Moxie Teenz wardrobe spiced up with homemade clothes, and wigs and pieces from other dolls, the 14” girls are showing why July is their Pride Month and wearing their patriotic red, white and blue pride colors. Gavin has even donned a patriotic hat just for the occasion. The hybrid Liv on a Jackie Evancho body is wearing a curly red Snapstar wig. Moxie Teenz Melrose has a festive, red, white and blue hair clip that is the same length has her blonde hair. The pretty maple bench they are enjoying was handcrafted in Barton, VT. A tisket, a tasket A green and yellow basket I bought a basket for my love And on the way I dropped it Easter 2019 brings lots of colorful goodies our way: Easter baskets, Easter eggs, little chicks and sweet bunnies and lets not forget -- fashion dolls dressed up for the holiday! This Easter the weather was a little cool, so some of the girls grabbed a jacket to wear with their Easter dresses. Faith and begorrah! It's St. Patrick's Day Eve! You know, the traditional night when fashion dolls dress up in their green St. Paddy's finery to impersonate leprechauns and go looking for the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow! The Madame Alexander Fan Girl  Black Widow doll on the left is wearing a green two-piece ensemble with a Saint Patrick's Day hair clip. Next to her, the Moxie Teenz doll wears a dress borrowed from a Barbie doll knock off. On the right, Liv in a red wig (on a Jackie Evancho doll body), wears a mid-length strapless sheath made out of the same material as the Fan Girl doll's two-piece outfit. Memorial Day kicks off the unofficial start of summer and the Liv World doll friends can't wait for summer to begin! The dolls are ready some fun in the sun with the Liv bar-b-q set. Spin Master's discontinued Liv dolls and their Victorious dolls shared a similar body, but they were not identical. This article compares the similarities and differences between the two dolls' body styles.  The Victorious dolls by Spin Master were released at the end of 2011 featuring cast members Jade, Cat and Trina.   Stardoll outfits fit Barbie, Liv, Moxie Teenz, other dolls Recently the Mattel Stardoll outfits were marked down at Toys R Us and other stores. Closely related to the Barbie doll , it may come as no surprise that the clothes fit the pink plastic princess, but it was a nice surprise to discover the shoes fit the Moxie Teenz dolls that can be hard to find footwear for. Body swapping Liv and Jackie Evancho dolls I am a big fan of both Liv dolls and Moxie Teenz dolls, so I am now making hybrid "Moxie Liv" dolls. Here's the scoop! Recently, as I reported in " Jackie Evancho: the little doll with the big voice, " the 14" fashion dolls went on clearance at Toys R Us. These dolls look a lot like the Moxie Teenz dolls in the body. In fact, the Evancho dolls and the Moxie Teenz dolls can exchange clothes , accessories, even shoes. However, the cute, smiling face of little Jackie Evancho just does not display well with the more sophisticated Moxie Teenz dolls. In the face, the Liv doll s are similar to the Mozie Teenz dolls . The heads are close enough in size to where the Liv World dolls and the Moxie Teenz dolls can exchange wigs. The Liv dolls also feature inset glass eyes like the Moxie Teenz.   Liv it up with the dolls of summer - Nashville Doll Collecting Examiner Summer is fast approaching as the days grow longer and warmer. Memorial Day kicks off the unofficial start of summer, but summer does not officially begin until the summer solstice in June when the sun is at its highest position in the sky. The Liv World friends can't wait for summer to begin. Spin Master doll bodies: Liv vs. Victorious dolls The Victorious dolls by Spin Master were released at the end of 2011 featuring cast members Jade, Cat and Trina. The doll bodies are copyright 2010 and made in China. The Victorious doll bodies share some similarities to the Liv doll bodies which are copyright 2009 by Spin Master and also made in China. The bodies and feet are close enough in size so the dolls can wear the same clothes and shoes, so the Victorious doll clothes can round out Liv's wardrobe and vice versa. Since the Liv dolls have been discontinued along with their clothes, the Victorious doll clothes make a nice option. Liv leaves: Liv doll line discontinued In December 2009, Nightline ran a story on Barbie's world and two dolls which were making a run for Barbie doll's Christmas sales. Nightline pointed to Liv dolls with their replaceable wigs, real glass eyes and 14 movable joints as one doll hoping to claim Barbie's sales.
