Fashion Dolls 101

As recently reported, Chelsea and her friends are growing up! On a recent trip to Walmart, I couldn’t help but notice her new look and features again.    She is now elementary school aged with a new wardrobe.  Chelsea was adorable as a toddler and cute as a little girl, but she has her own charm as a slightly older version.  I guess Mattel will be introducing a new baby sister in a few years since Chelsea inevitably will be going the way of Kelley and Shelley.  Related Articles: Little Green Chelsea Merboy Doll The Changing Face of Chelsea, Barbie’s Youngest Sister  

Recently a new doll joined the Barbie friends and family collection— an apparently unnamed boy doll. First appearing with the Chelsea Club series, the cute little boy has also turned up in the new Barbie Camping Fun series of dolls with a cute fishing pole. The Barbie site at Mattel caries a picture of the original Club Chelsea boy doll, and I found the little African American male doll at Walmart.com.  All of them are cute but I think I like the little black-haired guy with the camera on his striped t-shirt that came with the Club Chelsea line the best.  What do you think of Chelsea’s new guy friend? Barbie's little sister, Chelsea Barbie's little sister Chelsea has come into her own with a collection of pets, club playhouse, and colorful hair that makes her super cute to collect!
