Barbie Micro Minis with Let’s Pretend Playset Purses

 


As promised, here are two of the Barbie Micro Minis using the purses from the Let’s Pretend Playsets as handbags. You can see the scale isn’t bad for a larger handbag for the small dolls, and they badly need accessories!


You can see I have even taken to painting the small figures to give them some wardrobe changes, as well as making them shrugs and belts from yarn and ribbon. So you can see why I am excited to actually give them handbags in an appropriate scale! 

Next I will be testing the “64 oz” tumblers from the same playsets to see how well they do. Stay tuned for more fun with accessories for the Barbie Micro Minis!

Barbie Turns 55 Today!

Happy 55th birthday, Barbie! I knew you when you were just a teenage fashion model and I was a nine-year-old girl. That's when I got my first Barbie doll, and I was so excited! She was the favorite toy of my childhood and preteens, and when she disappeared from the home place after my mother died, I mourned her like an old friend. She wasn't the elusive original #1 Barbie doll, but she was a beautiful blonde #4 Barbie, soon followed by Skipper, Ken, homely Midge as well as cousing Francie, Todd, Tutti and a host of other dolls. The President Who Is Immortalized in Pop Culture as a Doll

  To commemorate the inauguration of President Donald Trump, this is an appropriate time to look at the fun figures inspired by the man himself. While some would disagree, many would say the man himself is a living doll.  There’s no denying he has inspired several dolls and figures   First is the Donald J. Trump 12” talking doll (center) which was released in 2004 while he was the star of the tv show, “The Apprentice.” This doll is a relatively life-like depiction of how Donald Trump looked while on the reality series and it says 17 phrases in his voice that were made popular on the show.  It is dressed in his typical navy blue suit with red tie   Next is the Trump troll doll (left) which was issued fairly recently, probably in 2023 or 2024.
