When Dolls Disappoint

I have had two disappointing experiences with badly cut doll hair since slowly getting back into the doll collecting world over the past few months. One was a Tonner Tiny Betsy County Fair Fun and the most recent was a Tonner Euphemia listed on Ebay. I ordered both dolls oonline, because I don't know of any stores in the Nashville area that sell Tonner dolls. Part of the problem with ordering items online is dealers and Ebay sellers frequently do not offer full descriptions.

The President Who Is Immortalized in Pop Culture as a Doll

  To commemorate the inauguration of President Donald Trump, this is an appropriate time to look at the fun figures inspired by the man himself. While some would disagree, many would say the man himself is a living doll.  There’s no denying he has inspired several dolls and figures   First is the Donald J. Trump 12” talking doll (center) which was released in 2004 while he was the star of the tv show, “The Apprentice.” This doll is a relatively life-like depiction of how Donald Trump looked while on the reality series and it says 17 phrases in his voice that were made popular on the show.  It is dressed in his typical navy blue suit with red tie   Next is the Trump troll doll (left) which was issued fairly recently, probably in 2023 or 2024. Dreamworld Trolls by Mattel

  Not too long ago, Walmart put their Dreamworks Trolls on sale for $5.97, so I decided to grab one. I never saw the movie, but I collected Russ trolls as a little girl, so I have occasionally added a thrift store troll to my collection through the years after losing all the ones I had as a child. Also, being a fan of the Pink Plastic Princess means the Mattel label on the package didn’t hurt, so I nabbed the pink girl troll.    The box date is 2023 and the packaging says “Dreamworks Trolls Band Together.” Related : Mouse in the House Caters to Kids Elf on the Shelf Falling Out of Favor ?
