Laiko International Co., Inc. was based in City of Industry, CA when it made its line of "Real Teen" fashion dolls in the 1990s. At the time, the website for the Laiko dolls was realteen-dolls.com. The website described their 14-inch Limited Edition Teen Doll as "young, pretty and...always dressed trendy (with) beautiful, long and silky hair."
The dolls came with different hair color, fashions and face paint, and some I have seen had stars painted in their eyes. They had big eyes, big grins and dimples. Fashions included plenty of shorts sets as well as some dresses with socks and boots for footwear. The Laiko dolls are a little over 14 inches tall and stamped on the back of the torso and back of the head with 1993 Laiko International Co., Inc China.
