World's Smallest Barbie Dolls

Image
First of all, this is not the smallest Barbie in the world unless they mean "currently on the market!" Smaller Barbies have been produces for Hallmark ornaments as well as a Barbie doll Skipper once owned, to name a couple. However, these little "World's Smallest Barbie" miniatures are cute and they might very well be the smallest Barbies on the market right now at about 3" tall. The little retro fashion dolls made by Super Impulse Toys come with tiny sunglasses. I only saw two--the original 1959 Barbie doll and the 1971 Malibu Barbie.  These were for sale at Toys R Us for $4.99.  They are also available on Amazon .The little cuties are definitely worth a look! Moxie Teenz Dolls: Gavin Graduates

Image
The Moxie Teen dolls and their other 14" fashion doll friends are celebrating the graduation of  Moxie Teenz Gavin with a backyard garden party.  Dressed in his original blue Moxie Teenz  suit and a graduation cap, Gavin is making memories with his friends from high school including this electronic Barbie doll in a Ken shirt and homemade skirt, repainted Jackie Evanchco in blue checks, and two other Moxie Teen dolls wearing mostly Moxie Teenz clothes.. Gavin's graduation cap was borrowed from this silly graduation toy. ConGRADulations, Gavin! Find Moxie Teenz on Amazon. A visit to see the lavish Dressing Downton: Changing Fashion for Changing Times exhibit  at Cheekwood Mansion in Nashville  promised to be a day of  fashion and histor y. What I didn't expect was to find cute Downton Abbey dressed bears as well as small doll-sized accessories from the 1930s! Downton Abbey bears photo (c) Kathryn Darden The set of three bears was displayed twice, so here are both displays so you get the bears at two different angles.  Small accessories included small serving pieces and small hats of the era made into what may have been pin cushions but just begged to be reassembled atop some lucky doll's head! Doll-sized accessories  photo (c) Kathryn Darden If Dressing Downton comes to your area and there is a gift shop involved, check it out. The display will teach you more about fashion and you might find some doll-sized goodies in the gift store!
