Barbie Micro Minis Get Oatriotic for America250 and July 4


 

Just when you thought they couldn’t get any more festive, the Barbie micro minis are pulling out all the stops with new accessories for the big America250 4th of July Celebration!

It’s All in the Details

The little micro minis have had some makeovers to their outfits. From left to right:

The brunette ponytail 2026 mini has had her top painted with red stripes, a red bracelet, and red lipstick added and found a sweet navy blue shrug to wear. The blond 2026 ponytail had her skirt painted red instead of pink, has red lipstick and a cute black shoulder bag. The 2025 blonde ponytail has a flag purse and a red, white and blue shawl to match her outfit. The 2025 brunette had her top painted red to go with her blue pants, as well as new red lipstick, and the plump 2026 mini had her purple skirt and pendant painted blue.

It’s a fun challenge trying to find or make accessories for such tiny girls, but every success is enjoyable

The President Who Is Immortalized in Pop Culture as a Doll

  To commemorate the inauguration of President Donald Trump, this is an appropriate time to look at the fun figures inspired by the man himself. While some would disagree, many would say the man himself is a living doll.  There’s no denying he has inspired several dolls and figures   First is the Donald J. Trump 12” talking doll (center) which was released in 2004 while he was the star of the tv show, “The Apprentice.” This doll is a relatively life-like depiction of how Donald Trump looked while on the reality series and it says 17 phrases in his voice that were made popular on the show.  It is dressed in his typical navy blue suit with red tie   Next is the Trump troll doll (left) which was issued fairly recently, probably in 2023 or 2024. Barbie Turns 55 Today!

Happy 55th birthday, Barbie! I knew you when you were just a teenage fashion model and I was a nine-year-old girl. That's when I got my first Barbie doll, and I was so excited! She was the favorite toy of my childhood and preteens, and when she disappeared from the home place after my mother died, I mourned her like an old friend. She wasn't the elusive original #1 Barbie doll, but she was a beautiful blonde #4 Barbie, soon followed by Skipper, Ken, homely Midge as well as cousing Francie, Todd, Tutti and a host of other dolls. Barbie doll has been the subject of praise, an object of ridicule, and the center of controversy , but no matter how many issues adults try to blame on Barbie , most little girls still love her. Now the pink plastic princess, who was first sold in 1959, is turning 55! It seems like we just celebrated her 50th birthday , but that was back in 2009.
