Belle Meade Plantation Belles Doll Club Celebrates 4th of July

The 4th of July was celebrated early on July 1 when the Belle Meade Plantation Belles doll club had their monthly meeting at Shoneys in Bellevue.

Seven members and two guests attended and enjoyed displays of patriotic dolls including a vintage Barbie and Midge wearing Barbie's 1776 outfit, several mod Barbies, a Tutti, several celebrity dolls wearing red, white and blue outfits, three new dolls from the new Dolls of the World Landmark Collection including the new Statue of Liberty Barbie doll, a couple of FAO Schwartz Statue of Liberty dolls, an Effanbee Betsy Ross doll and many other dolls dressed in their 4th of July finest.

Club members discussed the upcoming August doll couture gathering in Nashville, shared news about current doll sales and deals, and enjoyed looking at some vintage bargain dolls brought by Janice Duffy.

The Belle Meade Plantation Belles doll club will have their next meeting on August 5 at 7:00 PM at Shoney's in Bellevue.
