Doll collecting at Belle Meade Plantation: Southern Dolls & Plush Ponies

Belle Meade Plantation, located in Nashville's prestigious Belle Meade community, is a historic mansion whose grounds and buildings now serve as a museum. 

 Although visitors usually go to enjoy the grounds, historic outbuildings and the mansion, there is also a gift shop on the grounds full of Civil War and Southern gifts, including some cute dolls and stuffed animals.

Beautiful dolls in Southern style dress join Raggedy Ann and some home-spun dolls in pretty array. 

Not to be outdone are plush ponies, puppies, bunnies and other stuffed animals for sale at Belle Meade Mansion.

 Built in the 1820s by John Harding, the mansion is worth a visit to enjoy some of the history of Nashville and the South, but doll collectors will also enjoy shopping in the gift store for the cute offerings found there.

Barbie Scores Cover of People Yearbook for 2023

 ~ Many media outlets have been doing their year-in-review articles to mark the turnover of another year, and People Magazine is no exception ~ Barbie on Cover of People Yearbook “Barbie” star Margot Robbie joined singer Beyoncé and Taylor Swift on the cover of People Magazine’s 2023 Yearbook featuring top moments from the past year. Since “Barbie also sings in the film, that’s three female singer on the cover of People for those who are counting.  The magazine took a look at “The Plastic Fantastic World of Barbie” as one of the big stories of 2023.  Greta Gerwig's  “Barbie” movie starring  Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling  was a huge hit in 2023 in spite of mixed reviews. The comedy landed five nominations for Oscar Awards including sound, original songs for its three submissions from Billie Eilish ('What I Was Made For? Christmas Figures Landing in Michael’s Stores

The holidays have landed at Michael’s stores! Employees have been busy decking the aisles with holiday goodies since the last week of September. Finally, some of the holiday figures are on display!
