Twilight Dolls from Tonner & Mattel

 

Twilight Breaking Dawn Part 2 with Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner, Ashley Greene and Dakota Fanning has been breaking records across the country. In honor of the last chapter in the Twilight Saga, here is a look back at some of the best Twilight dolls.



Tonner Doll Company to release 2010 Twilight dolls; Jacob Black doll from New Moon already out

As recently reported in Tonner Doll Company to release Lord of the Rings dolls in June, The Robert Tonner Doll Company has been creating a series of character figures based upon popular movies. In September of 2008 it was announced that the Robert Tonner Company had been granted the license for character figures based on the movie Twilight. Since then, the Tonner company has produced several dolls from the Twilight films including Edward Cullen, Bella Swan, Laurent, James, and Victoria.

Eclipse in theaters June 30, 2010
When the new Twilight series movie Eclipse comes to theaters on June 30, 2010, fans will once again be invited inside the world of vampires, werewolves and the girl who loves them as the saga of Bella, Edward and Jacob continues.  Barbie enthusiasts and Twilight fans have had a special entrance into the world of Twilight through the Twilight series of Barbie dolls. Starting with Bella Swan and Edward Cullen, the Twilight dolls hit stores on November 1, 2009 to usher in The Twilight Saga: New Moon, with the Jacob Black Twilight doll following in February of 2010. All three dolls are still available in stores as the Eclipse movie release approaches.

Mattel announces new Twilight Barbie dolls; Alice and Victoria join Bella, Edward and Jacob

Exciting news for Twilight fans! More characters have been added to Mattel's Twilight collection of dolls! As previously announced in Bella Swan, Edward Cullen & Jacob Black immortalized as Twilight Barbie dolls, Edward and Bella were released in (November 2009) followed by Jacob in 2010. Now Mattel has posted photos of the new Alice and Eclipse Victoria dolls coming this summer.

When author Stephanie Meyer first penned Twilight, I wonder if she had any idea Edward Cullen and Bella Swan would one day be immortalized, not just in fiction or even in movies, but also as Barbie dolls?

Twilight Night at Belle Meade Plantation Belles Doll Club: Twilight dolls on display in Nashville

 The Belle Meade Plantation Belles Doll Club held their monthly meeting on August 5 in Nashville's Bellevue community. Visitors were invited to attend Twilight Night to see the club's Twilight doll displays. While other dolls were also shown, the night belonged to Bella, Edward and Jacob.
