McCall's magazine had a noteworthy and long run from the late 1800s until personality Rosie O'Donnell became editorial director, renamed the magazine after herself and ceased publication in 2002 when she couldn't totally remake the magazine in her own image. But prior to the magazine's ruin, it had became one of the most popular magazines in the world by the 1960s. One of the most beloved aspects of McCall's magazine was Betsy McCall, a paper doll that first appeared in the magazine in May of 1951.
