Patricia Alice Albrecht, the Voice of Pizzazz on "Jem and the Holograms" to Speak at Local Doll Club Sept 1 Patricia Alice Albrecht, best-known as the voice of Pizzazz on the 1980s animated television program Jem & The Holograms, will be the special guest speaker at the September meeting of the Belle Meade Plantation Belles Doll Club. The meeting is free for first-time visitors and guests are welcome to attend. Jem and the Holograms was a colorful line of rock 'n roll dolls which began production in 1985. The Jem dolls  launched the animated television series that ran from 1985 to 1988. The "Jem and the Holograms" television show, which was based on the doll characters and follows the adventures of Jem and her rival Pizzazz, is still in syndication today. When dolls disappoint: Ebay Euphemia from Tonner Cinderella When Dolls Disappoint I have had two disappointing experiences with badly cut doll hair since slowly getting back into the doll collecting world over the past few months. One was a Tonner Tiny Betsy County Fair Fun and the most recent was a Tonner Euphemia listed on Ebay. I ordered both dolls oonline, because I don't know of any stores in the Nashville area that sell Tonner dolls. Part of the problem with ordering items online is dealers and Ebay sellers frequently do not offer full descriptions. Patricia Alice Albrecht, the Voice of Pizzazz, Talks About TV's 'Jem & the Holograms' Interview with Patricia Alice Albrecht of Jem & The Holograms For kids growing up in the 1980s, one of the classic animated series on television was "Jem and the Holograms," based on a series of dolls made by Hasbro. The story-line was simple and focused on an all-girl rock band called The Holograms headed by "Jem" (the alter ego of music company owner Jerrica Benton). There was a weekly dose of action, music and colorful fashion as the ambitions of the good-hearted Holograms were often thwarted by rival band, The Misfits. The Misfits was headed by spoiled bad-girl Pizzazz, whose voice was provided by Patricia Alice Albrecht . Meet Jem & The Holograms' Pizzazz -- Patricia Alice Albrecht As mentioned in Jem & The Holograms: Hasbro doll line & TV series , the Jem line of dolls was launched by Hasbro in 1985 and became a popular animated television series during the 1980s. The "Jem and the Holograms" TV program followed the adventures of Jem of The Holograms and her rival with the lime-green hair, Pizzazz of The Misfits. While the singing voice for Pizzazz was provided by Ellen Bernfield, the speaking voice of Pizzazz, as well as Ann, Deidre, and Terri in the show, was done by Middle Tennessee's Patricia Alice Albrecht.
