Pink Careless Kisses Madra ensemble a Nashville exclusive - Nashville Doll Collecting Examiner Golden Age of Doll Couture in Nashville When the Golden Age of Doll Couture convention came to Nashville recently, a few dolls were designed just for the Nashville show. One of the prettiest was not even a new design, but was a special dye job just for the event. In honor of the Madra doll's 10th anniversary , the Doll Couture convention even had a few of the very limited edition Careless Kisses Madra outfits (sometimes called "Stolen Kisses") dyed a soft pink just for their table displays.  

Gene and Madra Halloween dolls - my favorite witch, witch, witches - Nashville Doll Collecting Examiner When you think Halloween dolls, Halloween Barbie dolls and some Madame Alexander dolls may come to mind for the ghoulish October holiday, but Gene Marshall , Madra Lord, and their friend Trent Osborne have also been issued as Halloween dolls worth mentioning.

Golden Age of Doll Couture convention in Nashville - event recap with exclusive photos Madra dolls on display Golden Age of Doll Couture in Nashville  The Golden Age of Doll Couture event was held in Nashville August 28-29 bringing just under 40 guests to the Millennium Maxwell House Hotel. The event saw guests enjoying the various sites and sounds of Nashville from the Country Music Hall of Fame to Manuel's Clothiers as well as Chihuly Nights at Cheekwood and the Golden Age of Couture at the Frist Center .    Two new doll lines were introduced at the event including a new historical doll by Cheryl Crawford, of Crawford Manor introduced at a Victorian tea at the historic Hardaway House I attended as well as a new poseable fashion ball-jointed doll by JAMIEshow introduced at Sunday's lunch. Guests received many goodies including cute bejeweled tourist keychain boots which were handed out at Manuel's reception, as well as clothing...

Mel Odom retires Gene doll; Gene Marshall line ends in 2010 Monday, December 21st, 2009 In November, Mel Odom sent a letter to collectors announcing that as of June 2010 his “ Gene Marshall fashion doll would be officially retired as will the entire Gene doll fashion line. “ Gene and I are pulling a Garbo , and retiring,” Odom announced in his letter. “I’ve been given much because of Gene ; acclaim, financial security and the best bunch of friends and collectors anyone could ever expect from their profession."
