Fashion Dolls 101

All six of the little Jesus figures I have found  Ok, I admit it. I have fallen in love with these little Jesus figures and am thrilled on the rare occasions when I find one. I found one with a brown sash right before Christmas at Dollar Tree and one with a blue sash just last week at the sign-in book at a nursing home, which was a little spark of joy in a place that sometimes lacks much joy. Found at a Dollar Tree cash register  in Nashville.  The first few I found looked identical but now that I have several, I am starting to notice the small variations. Two have raised letters the say “Jesus ❤️ You.” On the rest the words are printed flat. One has nothing written on the sash at all. One is slightly taller and with paler skin. And several have different color sashes.  Only two of my little Jesus figures are identical, so I plan to leave one of them somewhere for someone else to find.   Snowmageddon hit Nashville over a week ago, and we are still reeling from it. Some folks, including myself, were snowed in for five days or more with no power—no heat… With temperatures around 5° some evenings and 10 or 12° during the day, and stranded icebound on a steep hill, what else was I supposed to do except get the Barbie micro minis and pose them outside in the snow? The micro minis come dressed for summer, I was able to make them little shawls out of trim, and ribbon. However, not all of them got ribbon shawls, but they didn’t seem to mind, because they had two campfires to keep them warm.  Detail view showing ribbon shawls and campfire.   The little shed and the two campfires are on sale at Michael’s now. The old general store was found on a trip many years ago. And all but one of the Barbie Micro Minis are at Dollar Tree.
